Mihami and Nabil | Paris Couple Session

Paris is beautiful... no matter what season it is! So, even in winter, a Paris Couple Session is still very doable. This past winter, I had the pleasure to meet Mihami and Nabil who came to France to visit her family. Both have a picturesque background, she's French and his family is originally from northern Africa, but they both live in Canada.

Paris is usually not that cold, but the week of our session, we were going through a colder than usual period...so these two were facing some serious chill for their photo-shoot. Normally, when it's the colder months, I double as a coat hanger while I'm shooting and take more of a stop-and-go approach to the photos to allow my couples to warm up a bit. Luckily, it was a clear beautiful morning despite of the barely above freezing temperatures.

We met up at Alexander 3 which had actual frozen spots on the sidewalks where the sun didn't hit. It made for a fun time walking, specially since I am not used to stepping on ice and I always worry about any of us three slipping. We started off at the shade side of the bridge down by the water to get the colder portion out of the way fast, then go back up to the sun to try and get some warmth.

After grabbing some amazing portraits of them, we grabbed an Uber towards Cité. We got off at the south side of the Seine for that gorgeous classic street views right off the side of Shakespeare and Co, then cut across the park towards Notre Dame. Despite of the cold weather, the rose arch was still green with a few buds.

A short walk across the bridge through the garden park on the cathedral's side took us behind the famous gothic behemoth, we took some fun portraits before grabbing a warm drink at Café Esmeralda. In cold days with sun, it is a must to grab a coffee or tea to fight off the cold and still have some quirky photos before ending the session.

I really loved these two, they really made it feel like we breezed through our session and they are ridiculously photogenic.

You see? No matter what season it is, Paris is always a good idea... specially if you get a Paris couple session to remember your trip by.
