Elopement by the Tower - Anjelica and Gustavo

I normally photograph sessions as the larger weddings usually go to my lovely wife Anastasia and I take a support role as a second shooter, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t do weddings. What I normally photograph plenty is wedding sessions and sometimes elopements. This one is just that - an elopement ceremony by the Eiffel Power. As usual, the best time to be able to photograph by the Tower is supremely early in the morning - specially if it’s in Summer.

The upside is that you have more privacy from crowds and any other people you might see is just other photographers.

Anjelica contacted me to photograph her elopement ceremony and we planned a ceremony at the Trocadero gardens, followed by a session around the area, then a picnic at Luxembourg Gardens.

That morning we were lucky to have the best morning ever for their ceremony officiated by one of their best friends - which is an extra level of personal touch for your unique moment. It got cloudier by the time we were at Luxembourg Garden which made Anjelica reach for a leather jacket at the end.

We picked a spot by the grass and set the picnic then proceeded to pop the bubbly. After a couple of glasses, we took a few minutes to do some portraits in the garden before going fully into the picnic.

I love the Luxembourg Garden. It changes completely with the seasons and the flowers are kept perfectly in tune with the palette of the season. It has the Senate - the Chateau looking building in the back - plus a gorgeous fountain. Just look at these photos on a cloudy day.

Hope you enjoy this post and you are more than welcome to send me a message in case you are planning to elope or get married in Paris!
