A Paris Winter Surprise Proposal
Rinat and Yoav
Surprise proposals - I love capturing them. This one is a bit extra special - this is my first time capturing a surprise proposal on video. The original plan was supposed to have the audio recorded by Yoav’s iPhone in his pocket. Buuuuut nerves got the better of him and he didn’t have the moment to turn on the voice recorder. Also, the wind was so bad that it drowned the audio from my camera.
This session was a shorter than usual because of the terrible weather. It may not come through the images or the video, but it was very cold and mega windy. We were also worried about the rain. It rained all day EXCEPT the one hour we were going to meet up for the proposal. That is Paris weather for you at the beginning of the year. We were a tad late to start, hence the shorter session on top of the cold weather. Regardless, Rinat and Yoav’s album is beautiful and the video turned out fun and full of energy despite the cold.
All this was shot on our Sony A7IV and our new Sigma 24-70 Art. We already had this lens in Canon EF mount but it died on us in December. Sigma has been good to us over the years, both on Canon and we will test them out on Sony. And I use “our” since I share my gear with my lovely wife Anastasia.
MAKE PARIS AN EXPERIENCE TO REMEMBER
